Cameron is the Head of Engine for Imperial Formula Racing. Read below to find out more about Cameron and his team for the 2025-2026 season.
My name is Cameron, I am a third year mechanical engineering student. I initially joined in first year through the freshers recruitment, but soon stopped as it was a large time commitment.
However, during second year, I rejoined and did little projects here and there, ultimately leading to me being given more responsibility and ending up as Head of Engine.

My favourite IFR moment would be when we passed the final scrutineering test at the competition. It was amazing to have a tangible outcome of everyone's hard work, and seeing everyone celebrate together was fantastic.
As Head of Engine this year, the primary focus for my team will be engine turning, an updated shift system and other improvements of existing components to boost engine performance. People should join my team as all the upcoming projects are exciting, people will get constant hands on experience with the car, I will be able to utilise people with any skillset and lastly, there's nothing better than seeing the engine run better with your new part on it.

If you're interested in joining the Engine team this year, follow our socials to stay updated when our recruitment opens in October.
