Meet The Team: Ojas Parikh

Ojas is the Head of Electronics for Imperial Formula Racing. Read below to find out more about Ojas and his team for the 2025-2026 season.

Hi, I’m Ojas! I was born and raised in London and I am currently a second year EEE student. I have loved cars and motorsports for as long as I can remember, so joining IFR was a no-brainer for me.

I joined IFR in October 2024 during my first year as part of the ECU integration team, which was responsible for designing and manufacturing the wiring loom for the entire car. It was a steep learning curve as I had no previous experience on this kind of project, but it was incredibly rewarding once I got the hang of it.

My favourite moment from last year was definitely our first engine startup.  After numerous late nights building the wiring loom followed by many hours of troubleshooting problems, it was amazing to finally hear the engine roar into life.

As the new Head of Electronics, I’m excited to build on the hard work of my predecessors to help drive the team to even greater success. My priorities for the electronics are to maintain the reliability of the current system while improving some of the problematic areas of the system all while getting more people involved with the team and learning new things.

I would strongly encourage anyone interested in motorsports and electronics to consider joining the electronics team regardless of your experience. IFR is a great way to learn new skills, gain real-world engineering experience on a challenging but rewarding project and most importantly to have fun.
